One day there was a beautiful panda woman.

And a handsome Siberian Tiger male.

One day they crossed paths, and they did not like eachother.

So a fight commenced.

and oh what an epic fight it was.

After the fight however they found themselves strangely attracted to eachother in the sexual nature.

So they had a crazy night of wild animal sex. In the heat of the moment however, Mr. Siberian tiger forgot to wear a condom.

So 9 months later they had a child, and a cross between a siberian tiger and a panda happens to be a zebra.

Mr Siberian Tiger being the fine gentleman that he is decided to do the right thing by Ms. Panda and he married her. Now they are a happily family and live happily grazing the plains and hunting in the great wild.

Imagine your feet being on the ceiling and then suddenly you’re on the floor. You grow bigger by the minute and then smaller again by the second. Time crawls and then races, your body is morphing in one instance and then normal again the next.  Sounds like something out of a Lewis Carroll novel doesn’t it? Something that could only exist in the pretend world of Alice in Wonderland? It does sound whimsical and make believe but this is a real condition that actually exists and is described as a disorienting neurological condition which affects human perception. It is called Alice in Wonderland Syndrome of course named after Lewis Carroll’s novel  Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.

In the novels Alice goes through all kinds of metamorphic changes; she gets larger or smaller after ingesting certain liquids from labeled bottles, or experiences visual discrepancies such as double vision or hallucinations of smiling cats. Some people suggest Carroll was a sufferer of the disorienting migraines often cause by AIWS. In one passage Alice is blinded by moonlight which is a symptom sufferers often have. Other passages describe the onset of this disorder through drugs, such as when Alice drinks the two different bottles to “shrink” and “grow” and also the eating of the mushroom to grow and shrink. Lewis Carroll could have possibly been a sufferer of the disorder or even possibly used psychoactive drugs.

Sufferers experience micropsia (objects appear smaller than normal and the subject bigger.) and macropsia(objects appear larger than normal, and the subject smaller), and/or size distortion of other sensory modalities. AIWS is said to be a temporary condition, it is associated with migraines and brain tumors. Anecdotal reports suggest that the symptoms of AIWS are fairly common in childhood, with many people growing out of them in their teens. It appears that AIWS is also a common experience at sleep onset. AIWS affects the sufferer’s sense of visual, sensation, touch, hearing as well as one’s own body image. The most noticeable and most disturbing symptom is that of altered body image: the sufferer will find that they are confused as to the size and shape of parts of (or all of) their body.

This condition is also associated with the use of dextromethorphan (an over the counter cough suppressant), LSD, Psilocybin Mushrooms or other hallucinogenic drugs.

One example of a child who has this rare disease is nineteen-year-old Katie O’Brien. Her view of the world can change in the blink of an eye. She can feel as if she is living in a world that has shrunk to the proportions of a dollhouse or other times, ordinary objects seem surprisingly large. Katie describes, “Right when I wake up, that’s when I’ll start to see things differently. I was looking at the couch once and it looked like the couch just was growing. It was really weird. It was really horrible”.

Another case of AWS is seen in a twelve-year-old girl named Ana Ryseff. In Seattle, radiologists and researchers are attempting to capture, for the very first time, an actual “picture” of this rare syndrome in her brain. Ana’s auras last just a few minutes and only seem to happen when she is concentrating hard on a printed page. She explains, “Sometimes when I’m really focusing on a piano piece, the notes will just zoom, zoom up, so they’re just really big, like as if you were using a camera and you zoomed up on someone” . Ana had no clue what was happening to her, but she was about to discover some new information. In the scanning room, researchers used a black-and-white checkerboard pattern to mimic the black-and-white printed page that seemed to cause Ana’s hallucinations. Neurologist, Dr. Sheena Aurora, hoped to trigger Ana’s aura inside a scanner and get a functional image of her brain. It worked and Ana and her mother were able to see a picture of a brain where an Alice in wonderland Aura takes over ones vision. Two areas of the brain lit up. A burst of electrical activity caused abnormal blood flow in the area vision and the part of the brain that processes texture size and shape. Dr. Aurora explained, “That’s why [Ana] saw things become really small and really big. This activity definitely can explain the differences in size and shape and form”.

Perfect Teeth

I have watched this full season of weeds and to be honest I was kind of confused. The ending was really awesome and jaw dropping like literally I sat there with my mouth hanging open with the “wtf just happened” look on my face. Shayne kills Pilar with a croquet mallet! I mean come on can it get anymore bizarre than that? It seems Andy is to be getting married to none other than Alanis Morsette who plays a doctor, a rather crooked doctor at that, who steals and takes care of gunshot wounds with out reporting it and not to meantion Estebans ever so perfect heroine junkie of a daughter. Although I’m not sure sure about their future seeing as havig a crossbow aimed at both of them Andy took the hell off. To say the least the season finale was awesome and unexpected.

I am however hoping to see more of Doug I miss his crazy antics, hes still there but not as present as he used to be which is a really big disappointment to me. I also hope they double cross Celia now since they are her “team” being the little Nancy wanna be that she is now it only makes sense she has a team. All in all weeds didn’t dissapoint and left me excited to see the next season! Hopefully it isn’t too far away!

Lets start with being able to distinguish between the sexes. There are many different species of flies therefore many different distinctions but, in the typical house fly the main difference is the space between the eyes, the females are larger and have their eyes spaces far apart, males eyes are so close together they almost touch when seen with the naked eye.

In the male fly has genitalia that is located in a different area than any other insect, not to mention their genitalia can also be found in different places on their end section also known as the thorax. When they mate first the male lies on top of the female and they face the same direction then turns around and faces the opposite direction. The female then finds a place to lay her eggs, usually as close to a food source as possible so that the larvae has immediate access to food helping them more rapidly develop.  In some cases though the larvae develop in the female flies body, its rare but this method of birthing is called ovoviviparity, almost like the fly has given live birth, effin gross!!
